Selection and Testing

Selection Process
Candidates are carefully selected for any given vacancy by ensuring that we obtain the following:

Initial Assessment

  • Full CV detailing work experience
  • References from previous employers (For Contractor / Temporary and Permanent staff)
  • Job Description or details of key skills and experience from client.

Skills Matrix
We compile a Skills Matrix for each vacancy, prioritising the necessary skills and experience that our client is seeking in a candidate. Candidates who have then already undergone a personal assessment, are assessed against this skills matrix, by an experienced FM recruitment manager / consultant and only a select few prospective candidates are forwarded for your consideration.

Candidate References
Candidates are fully referenced by Dovetail, usually via verbal referencing prior to us placing them forward, whereafter we obtain a minimum of two written references, should they be successful in the appointment.

All "Contractor staff" are fully referenced before we consider them for positions

We pride ourselves on the superior quality of our candidates.


Testing
What testing process do we use to ensure the quality and capability of candidates?

Candidates are personally interviewed by an experienced FM Consultant and when required, in terms of specialist software experience, candidates can be tested by a CAD/CAFM trainer at one of our partner site's CAD/CAFM Training facilities (free of charge).

How do we manage shortfalls in a candidate's ability?

When specifically requested by a client, we are able to utilise one of our joint venture business partner training centres offering a wide variety of CAD/CAFM and Project Management training. Please see our Apprentice Training Program (ATP), which is specifically designed to increase candidates' skills, in a real-life environment.

How do we ensure equality of opportunity when supplying staff?

As members of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation we follow a strict code of conduct regarding the provision and employment of staff (please see attached). The code of conduct states clearly in Item 1, that all staff are aware of, and comply with the 1973 Employment Agencies Act, related Regulations, other statutory codes including provisions relating to equal opportunities etc.
