How do we attract candidates to register with us?

  • Dovetail advertises extensively on a number of the UK's premier Job Boards and our own website, which is prominently registered with a number of the UK's leading Internet search engines
  • We use our existing clients and candidate networks to receive numerous CV's.
  • Dovetail maintains an extensive database of professionals within the facilities management industry, which is updated on a regular basis.
  • Finally, we rely on word of mouth within the industry, and find numerous candidates registering with us through this manner.

How do we attract candidates in tight labour markets?

In many of the ways detailed above, but focusing on proactively assessing our existing, large database of candidates against their real and perceived needs, e.g. working closer to home, or securing them a more challenging position, a better remuneration package or opportunities for training are often the additional incentive to move.

What measures do we implement to retain our candidates?

Regular, personal contact with our candidates to ensure that they are correctly matched to suitable vacancies that arise. Our management and support staff not only understand the recruitment industry but have also attended numerous Facilities Management and Project Management courses (offered by various professional bodies including the BIFM, RICS, CIOB etc).

This ensures we can clearly relate to our candidates abilities and more closely understand our clients' requirements, ultimately leading to better retention of candidates.

How would we manage a large/bulk temporary requirement?
