Primary responsibilities of the CAD Space Planner:
a) Creation of space planning drawings on a CAD system.
b) Maintenance of CAD drawings reflecting as-built conditions.
c) Maintenance of the occupancy database to reflect detailed seating and space allocation information.
d) General CAD and Occupancy support to support moves and churn.
e) As built surveys to audit the Master CAD drawings.
The CAD Space planner is required to oversee these functions and ensure that all drawings and data are updated in the most accurate and timely
manner.
This position is also expected to perform hands-on CAD drafting, site surveys and must have a good understanding of space planning within a commercial office environment. Global standards and policies must be followed to perform the above tasks.
Essential Skills / Qualifications
a) Fully competent in using CAD for space planning studies.
b) Experienced Excel user with the ability to create tables and reports.
c) Familiar with design principles.
d) A good communicator, who has experience of taking a design brief from senior management and implementing design solutions.
e) Well organised with an eye for detail to complete space planning drawings, to check updates and query data.
