Relocation and Refurbishment / Moves Management
We are constantly seeking candidates throughout the UK who have a good knowledge of the management of Moves Management (Churn projects) and Refurbishment work.
Vacancies range from junior to senior positions and usually require candidates to undertake many of the following duties:
Key Accountabilities
- To work within or manage a Moves Department, providing all relocation and project works to prescribed standards.
Relocation
- To ensure all moves and projects are performed within statutory requirements
- To provide strategic advice relating to the use of space as directed by the client
- To effectively manage all storage facilities used for the housing of furniture and other products supporting the moves process and ensuring effective means of stock control are implemented and maintained
- Remain primary point of contact to client and ensure all problems or concerns are addressed in a prompt and professional manner
- Monitor the readiness of all facilities, services, furniture, IT and Telecom suppliers etc.
- To ensure that all procurement activity within the Moves Department, is performed in strict compliance with local procedure.
Financial
- Successfully co-ordinate & supervise all moves and manage refurbishment of building(s) in a timely and cost effective manor (relocation projects may often involve different sites and a variety of scales)
- Produce Moves and Refurbishment Plans and costs reports for recharging.
Health & Safety
- To ensure all moves and projects are performed in compliance with relevant Health and Safety legislation and promoting best practice
- Undertake Health and Safety assessments.
Managerial Skills
- To continually review and enhance working methods in order to improve operational efficiency within the scope of the service
- To continually promote and support a 'team spirit' approach within the Facilities Management Department
- To manage the Moves Department personnel, including staff appraisals, performance monitoring, training requirements etc
- Participation in the effective selection of sub contractors and management and control of their activities
- To attend periodic and ad hoc meetings as directed by the Account Manager or the client
- To be able to effectively cover and / or provide additional operational support to the other post holders within the Moves Department in order to maintain the contracted service levels
- Direct the Project Team, which could include architects, designers and construction companies and other third party activities.
