Key Description:
Be fully responsible for carrying out all commercial functions, processes and reporting, expected of a suitably experienced Quantity Surveyor. The candidate will be expected to take commercial ownership of all projects from contract award until payment of final retention.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contract set-up processes (including credit insurance applications)
- Submit and agree interim valuations
- Collate, submit, negotiate and agree Final Accounts
- Value, negotiate and agree variations and claims
- Invoicing and payment progressing
- Weekly cashflow forecasts
- Track monthly sales movement
- Formal Commercial reporting
- Contract transfers
- Monitor cost movement
- Submit contract notices
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experienced individual with competent surveying / commercial background
- Ability to work on their own initiative
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise accordingly
- Flexible approach to all work activities
- Good communication skills
- Good numerical skills
- Competent IT skills
- Team Player
- Knowledge of Management Information Systems
