Enclosed is a basic summary of the core skills we seek in PFI /PPP Management candidates.
Key Duties and Accountabilities:
- The overall management, co-ordination and control of all Hard FM activity across the PFI projects including Building and Property maintenance, grounds maintenance and project works.
- Management of profitable hard FM activity across the PFI projects including budgeting, forecasting, 3 year planning and monthly financial reports
- Undertake Appraisals/ Performance Reviews including the identification of training and development needs
- Liaison between all service providers regards to all maintenance issues.
- Co-ordination of all maintenance activity so that services will not be inconvenienced
The planning and organisation of preventative systems and life cycle replacement
- Ensure service desk requests are completed within the timescale required
Responsibility for ensuring that all-statutory legislation, all code of practice and regulations are complied with in relation to maintenance and operation of all estates assets.
- Ensure the development, implementation and audit of all local policies in the Health & Safety at Work Act, particularly in relation to safe systems of work and permits to work for all direct and contract labour employed on site.
- Responsibility for maintaining emergency cover for all estate maintenance services outside normal hours.
- Responsibility for the proper control of all maintenance contracts in relation to Quality Standards, Health & Safety etc.
- Development of new ideas and innovation within estate maintenance service, to determine ways of improving service provision by evaluating and reviewing traditional methods and working practices.
- Identify areas of service weakness; develop proposals and remedial strategies
- Management of Services and be professionally responsible for its service performance
- Responsibility for energy efficiency, conservation monitoring and developing an energy strategy for the site.
- Use of IT systems to provide/monitor data within the Quality Assurance and other management reporting systems
