Enclosed is a basic summary of the core skills we seek in H&S candidates
Core Skills:
- Analysis of regulatory and best practice compliance.
- Provision of evidence supporting observations of non compliance.
- Recommendations for corrective action to remedy non–compliances.
- Producing bespoke general and regulation specific risk assessments.
- Writing policies, work instructions and method statements for a wide range of hazards.
- Development of proactive risk management strategies for clients to minimise their health and safety risk exposure.
- Delivering and developing health and safety management systems.
- Report preparation using approved style and content templates in approved timescales.
Qualifications and Experience:
- NEBOSH diploma or equivalent (desirable) or working towards diploma or higher level health and safety qualification with completion within a year of starting position.
- Membership of IOSH (essential).
- Experience developing and delivering OHSAS 18001 or other health and safety management systems.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Computer literacy and keyboard skills.
- Commercial awareness of pricing and profitability, coupled with high standards of customer care.
- Proven experience in a health and safety environment (desirable).
