History of Dovetail

Dovetail HRS is an independent Facilities Management Recruitment Company, originally established in 1989 and offering a comprehensive range of FM, Property and Construction professionals to companies primarily within the UK, but also within EMEA area, more recently to the United States.

The Early days

Dovetail commenced business as a generalist Recruitment agency in 1989 and during the early 1990's we established relationships within Space Planning, Move and Project Management and CAFM organisations, seeking to employ Facilities Management professionals.

FM Growth

The demand for FM staff grew so rapidly that Dovetail established a separate Facilities Management Division in 1996, which expanded it's range of services in September 2000, to also include both Architectural and Interior Design professionals. Mike Smith joined as Director of FM Services in 2000 to take the company into mainstream FM and Real Estate Recruitment and the team continued to grow.

The last 8 years

The company is now a highly recognised and respected player within the FM / Property Management marketplace, offering a comprehensive range of recruitment solutions to private and public sector clients; including many of the UK’s leading Property Invesment and Outsourcing companies, Total Facilities Management service providers (TFM’s), International Construction and FM Consultancy firms.

To be “THE LEADING” independent FM Recruitment agency in the UK, a goal we are steadily progressing towards!

Partnerships

Dovetail has forged close partnerships with both clients and candidates alike, and we offer certain training and skills assessment courses, through our unique ATP – Apprentice Training Program.
